School Based Health Center
Please welcome Dr. Melinda Bower, a naturopathic physician who will be providing comprehensive medical services to students at the Chimacum Junior/Senior High School SBHC. Dr. Bower is returning to Jefferson County after 13 years living and practicing in the Seattle area, with a focus on family medicine and women’s health. While in the Seattle area, she practiced at community health clinics and School Based Health Centers.
The School Based Health Center (SBHC) partnership has been a strong official partnership between Chimacum School District, Jefferson Healthcare and Jefferson County Public Health for over a decade. We know that increasing access to healthcare makes for healthier students and healthy students are better learners. Medical and mental health services are provided.
